Exfoliation is important as it helps remove the dead skin cells and improves dry skin. With regular exfoliation in your lips, it can definitely make your lips become healthy and look beautiful.

If you want to avoid having dry lips, having flakes or it being chapped, you really should exfoliate your lips.

Here are some ways on how you can exfoliate your lips at home:

Sugar and Oil Scrub

Mix sugar with oils such as coconut oil or olive oil. Mix the ingredients until it has a paste-like consistency. Rub the mixture in your lips while massaging it in a circular motion. The longer you rub the mixture in your lips, the more it can exfoliate your lips.

Rinse your lips with warm water afterwards.

Petroleum Jelly

Not only does Petroleum jelly help in exfoliating our lips, it also keeps our lips moisturized and rehydrated. Simply apply it with your hands or by using an old toothbrush and rubbing it in circular motions.

Baking Soda

Mix baking soda with water until it forms like a paste. Apply the mixture in your lips and rinse after a few minutes. Be sure to put a moisturizing lip balm afterwards as the mixture does not really moisturize your lips.

Washcloth Scrub

Probably the simplest trick in the book! You can use a damp washcloth and simply rub it gently in your lips in order to get rid of the dead skin in your lips.
