Determine the texture of your hair
If you have thick or curly hair, you can go for the high heat setting while you can go for a low setting for finer hair.
Before blow drying your hair, you could choose to pre-treat your hair with heat-protecting products. They are available on creams or sprays, make sure that you apply the product evenly on your hair.
