How to get rid of the dark spots on your face

Dark spots on your face are often called as hyper-pigmentation. They are often caused by too much exposure to the sun, a side effect of some drugs or some hormonal fluctuations.

Here are some home remedies which can get rid of the dark spots on your face:

 

Papaya

The Papain, an enzyme found in the Papaya fruit, helps in exfoliating the skin and makes a way for the new skin cells to appear. Papaya contains Vitamin E and Vitamin C as well, both of which helps in lightening the dark spots. You can slice a papaya and hold it on the affected area or make a facial mask with it by using a food processor or blender to turn the fruit into a paste. Leave the fresh slice of papaya or the facial mask on your face for 30 minutes and rinse well.

 

Aloe Vera

Not only is the Aloe Vera a great moisturizer, it also helps in getting rid of dark spots. Simply squeeze the pulp of aloe vera or aloe gel and apply on the affected area.

 

Red Onion

Red onions also have acidic properties which helps lighten the dark spots on skin. So if you don’t have aloe vera or papaya, the red onion is a must try. Simply peel a red onion and cut it into chunks. Put it in a blender or juicer and use a cotton ball to dab the red onion extract into the dark spots on your face. Rinse after letting it sit for about 15 minutes.
